Chinese multinational technology company, Lenovo, has come up with the third K8-series smartphone, the Lenovo K8 after launching K8 Note and K8 Plus. It was predictable that the new smartphone by Lenovo will be featured lower than the other series phones and the price is comparatively low and it is priced at Rs. 10,499. The announcement of the launch of the k8 smartphone was made through social networking site, Twitter, unlike the other cell phones in the series. The company has made it an offline-exclusive mobile phone, you can purchase it from the company’s retail stores only.
The Lenovo K8 doesn’t support a dual camera setup which is the only smartphone in the series to be deprived of the feature. If we talk about the cameras, there’s a 13-megapixel single sensor with PDAF (Probabilistic Data Association Filter) and LED flash at the back. If you ask me to compare Lenovo K8 Note and Lenovo K8, the former smartphone is equipped with a 13-megapixel primary sensor along with a 5-megapixel depth sensor. The difference which the traits of cameras will make is that the pictures taken with Lenovo K8 note would be in depth-of-field effects. Whereas, the K8 Plus also comes with a similar dual camera setup.
The processor used in the Lenovo K8 is an octa-core Mediatek Helio P20 processor which is clocked at 2.3GHz. It is equipped with 3GB of RAM. The internal memory of the smartphone is of 32GB (inbuilt on board) and you can expand it as well using a microSD card. It is attributed with a 5.2-inch IPS HD with a resolution of 720×1280 pixels display with 2.5D glass. The buyers also get a fingerprint scanner at the back. Click your selfies with an 8-megapixel front camera with flash. Now no need to wait for the appropriate lightning to capture your best memories. Just go for it anytime.
The Lenovo K8 also runs on stock Android 7.1.1 Nougat out-of-the-box as its series cousins Lenovo K8 note and plus. You also need not to charge it repeatedly, as it is furnished with a 4000mAh non-removable battery. The company professes that the battery can work for 1.5 days with single-time charging. The dimensions of the mobile phone are 147.9×73.7×8.5mm and it weighs 165 grams.
Dolby Atmos to boost your music listening experience is empowered with single speaker in the Lenovo K8. The major difference which is made in the cell phone is that on the left panel a Music Key is located, with which you can play, skip, pause and rewind songs. It is a 4G with VoLTE support dual-SIM smartphone. The other connectivity options are Wi-Fi and Bluetooth 4.2. Nano-SIMs are to be used in the slots. You get two color choices in the smartphone- Venom Black and Fine Gold and it gets a metal body.
The new smartphone in the market will give a tough competition to the following mobile phones in the similar price range-
- Moto E4 Plus (Rs9,999)
- Panasonic Eluga Ray 700 (Rs9,999)
- Xiaomi Redmi 4 (Rs9,999- Rs10,999)
